Good Performers (Rank 36-25)

*This group includes players who are still finding their rhythm, offering steady contributions but needing more consistency to elevate their play. These athletes have shown potential, but there’s more to unlock as the season progresses.*

36. NaLyssa Smith

Team: Mist

This is not an indication of NaLyssa’s game at all. It’s that in her lone appearance at Unrivaled, Smith scored two points. Smith came off a plane from China and had an ankle injury, which added to her slow start. Limited playing time and being thrust into a situation without preparation is why, at the moment, she is the lowest-ranked player for now.

35. Lexie Hull

Team: Rose

During the first few games of the season, it looked like Lexie Hull was not going to play much. The Rose BC kept losing by three possessions or less. During this time Hull’s minutes were sparring. She received limited minutes early in the season but has picked up her scoring averages as of late. Hull has played in seven games this year and has so far averaged 6.1 points per game, 2.3 RPG, 1.7 APG, and almost three fouls a game.

34. Katie Lou Samuelson

Team: Phantom

Katie Lou Samuelson has had to adjust and adapt to playing many different roles for the Phantom. As a valuable perimeter shooter and small forward, she has found herself at times playing center!

She’s been able to hold her own at times, but her scoring has not shown enough yet to stand out, averaging 6.1 PPG. She has been knocking down more perimeter shots recently, but her consistency needs improvement for her to rank higher.

33. Natisha Hiedeman

Team: Laces

Natisha Hiedeman, in her stint at Unrivaled, has played for two different teams (Phantom, Vinyl) and has shown her ability to do a lot of great things for each of them.

Hiedeman is averaging 6.4 points per game in the five games she has played. As a backup point guard, she has been a solid role player in the league.

32. Aliyah Boston

Team: Vinyl

Aliyah Boston has All-WNBA potential. However, in Miami, she has not reached the peak yet.

Boston has had a quiet start to the season with 6.5 PPG and 5.0 RPG. Aliyah currently has the ability to shoot way up this list, but for now, she needs to improve in scoring and consistency to move up in the rankings. There’s no doubt that she will climb this list before the end of the season.

31. Courtney Vandersloot

Team: Mist

Courtney Vandersloot’s offensive capabilities have shown in Unrivaled well. However, although her playmaking is a highlight, averaging 3.5 APG, her Mist have struggled offensively. Currently, the Mist have the worst-ranked offense in Unrivaled.

30. Shakira Austin

Team: Lunar Owls

Shakira Austin had a slow start to Unrivaled.

However, she’s recently seen an increased amount of production. When Austin faced Brittney Griner, she had a big rebounding game. Austin had six offensive rebounds and led the entire game in that category. As she continues to get healthy, she keeps showing flashes and more consistency of her apparent greatness. Austin also defeated Chelsea Gray in the 1-on-1 Tournament.

29. Kate Martin

Team: Laces

Kate Martin has had her share of big games!

She has been playing on another level from her rookie season in the WNBA. Martin has shown her ability to knock down shots off the dribble and impact the game when she checks in. In her six games played, she’s averaging nearly eight points and five rebounds per contest. Martin’s game has definitely taken a leap.

28. DiJonai Carrington

Team: Mist

DiJonai Carrington has been doing well playing in Unrivaled. She’s been hurt for a few games, which has contributed to her limited scoring, averaging 7.2 PPG in only seven minutes per game. However, her standout defense and leadership have been invaluable.

Carrington has been an absolute pest (in the most complimentary way) defensively, blocking shots, getting strips, and staying in front of her opponent. Buckle up!

27. Brittney Sykes

Team: Rose

Sykes is an important piece of the Rose basketball club. As one of the defensive anchors on the team, she has been solid. She’s also been very versatile, filling in different positions when called upon. She also had a big game and helped lead her team to a win. For the moment, in her games played, she’s averaged 8.4 points per game. Her ability to lock down players on defense keeps her team competitive.

26. Aaliyah Edwards

Team: Mist

Aaliyah Edwards is going to have a breakout year next year in the WNBA.

More importantly, Edwards has been a very solid contributor for the Mist. When she checks into a game, she is instant offense, oftentimes spelling Breanna Stewart.

This season in Unrivaled, she is averaging 9.3 PPG & 4.5 RPG in only eight minutes. This year in Unrivaled, she is showing flashes of her great potential and is moving up the rankings by the day. The highlight of her season is when she finished second to Napheesa Collier for the 1-on-1 championship.

25. Jordin Canada

Team: Vinyl

Jordin Canada was a great pickup for the Vinyl basketball club.

Canada has been very productive during her nine minutes per game, scoring a point per game. Additionally, defensively, she’s been covering the basketball very well and not getting into foul trouble (1.5 fouls per game). Canada’s ability to distribute the basketball, impact the game, and make plays has been her best strength.

Great Performers (Rank 24-11)

*These players are making a significant impact on the floor. Whether through scoring, playmaking, or defense, they are contributing to their teams in key ways. While they may not be at the very top just yet, they’re definitely among the best in the league.*

24. Rae Burrell

Team: Vinyl

Burrell had a slow start to her season, but she has picked it up! Vinyl head coach Teresa Weatherspoon has been raving about Burrell’s development. Burrell has developed very well under Weatherspoon’s guidance and has gotten better and more consistent with each game she has played.

Right now, in 7.2 minutes per game, Burrell is averaging 9.2 points per game. She is defending without fouling and staying in front of her opponent (1 foul per game). Burrell is also contributing almost 2 rebounds and 1 assist per game, along with nearly half a steal and half a block. She has been a hidden gem for Vinyl in her 6 games played.

23. Stefanie Dolson

Team: Laces

Big Mama Stef is having a great season at Unrivaled.

Dolson’s ability to stretch the floor, play big, and still run in space has been a crucial reason why the Laces have one of the best records in the league. Dolson, playing at center, has provided many quality moments for her team. Currently, she is averaging 10.0 points per game and 4.7 rebounds per game. She is one of the Laces’ most reliable players, and her experience, rebounding, and ability to space the floor have made her an important piece of the team’s success.

22. Natasha Cloud

Team: Phantom

Natasha Cloud is showing again why she is a true point guard in her Unrivaled season. Cloud’s Phantom team has been dealing with consistency issues due to injuries and players being out of the lineup. However, Cloud has been very solid with her point guard play. She’s averaging nearly 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists per game. She is a huge contributing factor to her Phantom team’s success.

21. Courtney Williams

Team: Lunar Owls

Coach DJ Sackmann said it best: Courtney Williams has an elite basketball IQ. When Williams is in the game, she is an absolute firestarter. She comes in and goes straight to work. Seeing her work the pick-and-roll with Nahpessa Collier has been a beauty to watch. In only 8 minutes per game, Williams is averaging double-figure points (10.3), nearly 4 rebounds, and 5 assists per game. Defensively, she’s doing well, staying out of foul trouble, only committing 1.8 fouls per game.

20. Angel Reese

Team: Rose

Additionally, Reese has been showing flashes of her playmaking ability, averaging almost two assists per game. Two parts of her game that have really stood out outside of her usual skill set are her ability to guard everyone in Unrivaled and her perimeter defense, which has been well above average.

She’s also shown that she’s been in the gym working on her game, displaying the ability to knock down shots from the perimeter.

19. Arike Ogunbowale

Team: Vinyl

Arike Ogunbowale is one of the best scorers in Unrivaled—arguably the best in the league. Right now, Arike is averaging 12.8 minutes and scoring 13 points per game. She’s also been able to fill out the stat sheet, averaging around 3 rebounds and 4 assists per game.

Between her and Rhyne Howard on the perimeter, the duo looks well-matched, competing together. Their chemistry is undeniable, as they go back and forth, dominating their competition with ease.

18. Jackie Young

Team: Laces

Jackie Young missed a lot of time early. However, she has found her way since getting back on the court. Young has been a huge contributor during the games she’s played when healthy.

Not only has Stevens been a double-figure scorer, but she’s also showing her versatility. Stevens has been able to guard everyone on the court and still chip in offensively.

Azura’s shooting efficiency and rebounding have been crucial to Vinyl’s success. Additionally, Stevens made it to the semifinals in the 1-on-1 tournament, further showcasing her skill set.

15. Alyssa Thomas

Team: Laces

Alyssa Thomas is one of the most underrated players in all of basketball. Even though Thomas got injured in the Unrivaled season, her impact is felt both when she is playing and when she is not. When she was on the court, Thomas was impressive.

Thomas’ defensive versatility allowed her to guard every position at the highest level. Thomas was averaging 14.7 points per game, 11.7 rebounds, and 4.0 assists. When she’s not on the court, her Laces team is still great, but they play at a slightly lower level. Her leadership and rebounding ability give her an edge over many players in the league.

14. Rickea Jackson

Team: Mist

Rickea Jackson had a goal this offseason: to work on her handles. She has absolutely accomplished that mission. Jackson has been working with Phil Handy, and the results are showing.

Jackson’s 14.7 points per game are complemented by her ability to contribute 3.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists. Her ability to score in a variety of ways has helped boost the Mist’s offensive production. Additionally, she’s had several breakout games during Unrivaled.

12. Brittney Griner

Team: Phantom

Brittney Griner is still not one to mess with.

Griner remains one of the best centers in the game of basketball. Her presence in the paint is unmatched, as she averages 15.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Many people thought Griner wouldn’t be able to fit in because of her size; however, she has dispelled all of those concerns. Griner’s size and shot-blocking ability make her a dominant defensive player, while her scoring makes her a constant threat in the post.

11. Kahleah Copper

Team: Rose

When it comes to building team chemistry, there may not be a better leader in the game than Kahleah Copper. Unrivaled has showcased the leadership qualities of the former 2021 Finals MVP.
