Angel Reese Takes Over: Reebok Deal, Record Smashing, & a Bright Future

The legend of Angel Reese keeps growing larger.

It was recently announced that the 22-year-old superstar Chicago Sky forward is extending her Reebok contract, with her own signature shoe set to drop by the 2026 WNBA season.

Reebok’s head of basketball, Jide Osifeso, told ESPN, “Reebok and Angel are growing together every day, and our visions for the future are aligned. We’re excited to continue building her signature shoe.”

Reese, who entered the WNBA with a ton of hype and notoriety after an incredible college career, continues to deliver. Reese left LSU as a two-time All-American, SEC Player of the Year, national champion, and the NCAA Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. During her debut rookie season as a professional in the WNBA, she didn’t disappoint.

After being selected seventh overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Reese went on to earn All-Star honors, finished second in Rookie of the Year voting, and even picked up an MVP vote for her amazing play. Reese also smashed some WNBA records along the way.

She became the first player in league history to grab 20 or more rebounds in three consecutive games, and her streak of 28 games with double-digit rebounds set a new WNBA standard. She also set a single-season record for total rebounds with 446, surpassing Sylvia Fowles’ 404. Reese became the league’s offensive rebound leader with 172 and broke the record for consecutive double-doubles with 15. Her 26 double-doubles as a rookie are the most ever, while her 13.1 rebounds per game mark the highest in league history.

As if that wasn’t enough, Reese and fellow rookie Kamilla Cardoso made history as the first rookie pair to each have 15 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 65% or better in the same game.

Following in the steps of other superstars in the league, Reese now joins an exclusive club as she is now one of only six active WNBA players to have a signature shoe, joining the likes of Breanna Stewart (Puma), Sabrina Ionescu (Nike), A’ja Wilson (Nike), Sydney Colson (Creative Control), and Caitlin Clark (Nike).

Her journey to greatness is only just beginning, and it’s clear Angel Reese is here to stay.
