Indiana Fever Surge Past Atlanta Dream for Fourth Straight Win, Fever Stars Shine in Dominant Performance
The Indiana Fever, one of the WNBA’s hottest teams, secured their fourth consecutive victory, defeating the Atlanta Dream 91-79 at State Farm Arena. This latest win showcases the Fever’s rising dominance in the league.
Coach Christie Sides praised the team’s resilience: “I’m just really proud of these guys for the resilience they’ve shown. It’s tough to maintain daily motivation for practice, but they’ve consistently shown up and put in the work. That dedication is now yielding results.”
The Fever nearly reached the 100-point mark, impressing with their offensive synergy by assisting on 37 made field goals and shooting 56% from the field and 52% from beyond the arc.
Caitlin Clark, the Fever’s standout rookie guard, reflected on the team’s improved dynamics: “We’ve significantly improved our game. It’s evident in our ball movement and our growing understanding of each other’s play,” said Clark, who finished with 16 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists, and a blocked shot.Clark also hit four three-pointers, maintaining a shooting accuracy over 50% both from the field and three-point range. This game marks her fourth consecutive performance with at least six assists and four rebounds.
NaLyssa Smith, the leading scorer, continues to excel, particularly on the defensive front, contributing 21 points and grabbing seven rebounds for the third consecutive game.”I’m taking my defensive responsibilities more seriously,” Smith stated. “I’m aiming for more double-doubles and want to be recognized as one of the league’s top rebounders.”
