NaLyssa Smith Joins Mist BC in a Timely Move

Mist BC has made headlines today by signing NaLyssa Smith to a relief player contract. The timing couldn’t be better, as the team looks to bounce back and find its rhythm. Smith is set to debut tonight against Phantom BC at 7:15 p.m. ET on TNT, adding extra excitement to an already anticipated matchup.

Smith’s talent is undeniable. Drafted second overall in 2022, she quickly became a force in the WNBA with the Indiana Fever. Her standout rookie season earned her a place on the All-Rookie Team. Before entering the professional league, Smith was a dominant presence at Baylor University. She helped lead Baylor to the 2019 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship and earned numerous accolades, including the Wade Trophy and multiple All-American honors.

Most recently, Smith played overseas for the Zhejiang Golden Bulls in the Women’s Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA). During the 2024–2025 season, she averaged 16 points and seven rebounds per game. Despite her strong performance, the Golden Bulls released her shortly after the New Year. Now, Smith is back in the U.S., ready to make an impact with Mist BC.

Smith’s Skill Set Brings Fresh Energy

Adding a player of Smith’s caliber gives Mist BC a significant boost. She is versatile, athletic, and skilled on both ends of the floor. Her scoring ability and rebounding presence make her a valuable asset to any team. For Mist BC, her arrival is an opportunity to strengthen their roster and push for a turnaround.

The decision to bring in Smith reflects Mist BC’s commitment to staying competitive. Facing a tough matchup against Phantom BC, they are banking on Smith’s ability to deliver under pressure. Her international experience and proven track record make her an ideal addition for high-stakes games like tonight’s showdown.

What to Watch For Tonight

All eyes will be on Smith as she makes her Mist BC debut. Will her presence be the spark the team needs? Can she adjust quickly to the pace of the game and deliver on both ends of the court?
