This WNBA Season Has Final Bosses & NPCs
MINNESOTA SITS IN A WEIRD MIDDLE

Minnesota is in the weirdest place right now. They’re a contender and a lottery team in the same right. It all depends on one player, Napheesa Collier.
“If Phee’s there, they’re an automatic playoff team.”
That’s the ceiling. The problem is everything around her shifted. The Lynx lost Alanna Smith, and they lost important defensive stability. Courtney Williams and Kayla McBride still bring production, but the roster doesn’t feel complete enough to push into real contention without perfect health and timing.
Olivia Miles changes the long-term outlook completely. She gives the franchise a future to build around alongside Collier, and that might matter more than forcing a playoff push this year.
“Olivia, when you get on that court, just enjoy your time. Go hoop. Go score. Go pass. Do what you do.”
That feels like the direction.
